My job
Overview
As a UX Concept Lead during the finalization phase of MINI OS9, I was responsible for the conceptual refinement and cross-domain alignment of core HMI features. My focus lay in ensuring that the established framework met the highest usability standards while maintaining the distinct, vibrant brand identity of the MINI ecosystem during its critical transition to a fully digital experience.
Interaction points
Within the MINI OS9 ecosystem, I acted as a senior authority for the refinement of interaction logic, specifically focusing on the transition of features onto the world’s first circular OLED display. My work involved optimizing the interplay between the circular Interaction Area and physical controls to ensure a seamless, character-driven user journey. In this role, I facilitated high-level stakeholder alignment and cross-functional coordination, ensuring that the conceptual integrity remained intact as the system moved toward its global market release.
Projects
Cameras
Refining the visual integration and user flows for imaging services within the MINI ecosystem. My focus was on adapting the Interior Camera and Drive Recorder to the circular display interface, ensuring that capturing and managing content remains intuitive while maintaining high standards for security and privacy.
3rd Party Apps
Overseeing the conceptual integration of external applications into the MINI framework. I worked on ensuring that third-party content feels native to the circular OLED display, focusing on layout consistency, seamless interaction patterns, and adherence to the overarching MINI UX standards.
Audio & Sound
Contributing to the final refinement of the acoustic feedback system. I assisted in aligning media playback awareness with the system’s unique soundscapes, ensuring a harmonious interplay between visual animations and audio cues.
